The Harold H. Bate Study Abroad Scholarship - Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences

This scholarship is available to students with majors within the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences that are from Craven, Jones, or Pamlico counties. Scholarships may be used for study abroad programs in the Summer or Fall terms.

This scholarship requires that each applicant provide one (1) letter of reference. This letter should come from a faculty member within your major that can speak to your skills, abilities, activities, and/or community involvement. Applicants should let the reference provider know to expect an email invitation to provide the reference and make sure they file the letter prior to the scholarship deadline.

Award Varies: Funding will range from $1,000-$4,000.

  6. This scholarship requires that each applicant provide one (1) letter of reference. This letter should come from a faculty member within your major that can speak to your skills, abilities, activities, and/or community involvement. You should make sure the reference provider is willing to provide you a reference letter and then let them know to expect an email invitation to provide the reference. It is your responsibility to make sure they file the letter prior to the scholarship deadline.
