The Ralph and Sharon Shumaker Music Education Scholarship

The scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate student enrolled full-time and majoring in music education at East Carolina University. The scholarship selection committee will base its decision primarily on the candidate’s audition performance. Preference will be given to students with a woodwind or brass instrument as the principal area of applied study. Additional consideration will be given to those students who serve in a leadership role and as a role model for other students.
