Alice Etheridge

Established in 2005, donor Alice Etheridge created this scholarship to provide support for undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full time in ECU’s College of Nursing (known as the School of Nursing then). The donor wanted the first preference to be given to qualified students from Currituck, Greene, or New Hanover counties (in that order) in North Carolina. If no qualified students from those counties are available, this scholarship should be awarded to students who are otherwise qualified. Alice made her generous gift after experiencing the life enriching care of her nursing team through her prolonged illness.
