Gravely Foundation

In 1982, The Gravely Foundation Scholarships were established into several departments at East Carolina University. The Gravely Foundation is based out of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, where their prosperity came from the growing and selling of tobacco. They then set up the Gravely Foundation, a charitable organization, to benefit Eastern North Carolinians. They contribute scholarships to ECU, along with other Eastern NC universities. This merit-based scholarship is awarded to rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students, who are enrolled full-time at ECU. The recipient must demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, good citizenship and dedication to the nursing degree.
