James & Selba Harris

Established in 2014 by ECU alumni James & Selba Harris, this scholarship was created to provide support for full-time nursing students, who are also enrolled in ECU’s Honors College. The scholarship honors Selba Harris (BSN ’64) who graduated as part of the College of Nursing’s first class. The Harrises reside in Alphretta, Georgia, but maintain ongoing contact with CON as well as classmates of the college’s first class.

“It is the generosity of alumni like Jim and Selba that helps make the dream of becoming a nurse possible for our students,” said Dean Dr. Sylvia Brown. “We are so appreciative of their willingness to give back to their alma mater.”
