Max Ray Joyner and Catherine Joyner

Established in 2002 by Max Ray Joyner and Catherine Joyner, this merit-based scholarship was created to award nursing students, with preference given to those who are residents of Pitt County, North Carolina.

Catherine, a Duke alumna, died in Aug 2, 2011. Max continues as a generous benefactor of our college and university since he graduated in 1955 from ECU.
