Mr. Harold Lloyd

Established in 2007 by Mr. Harold Lloyd, this scholarship was created to provide support to students enrolled full-time in the school of nursing. The student must be an undergraduate student in the College of Nursing or a graduate student enrolled in the Nurse Practitioner program, with preference being Nurse Practitioner. Preference also includes those who are non-traditional students and when applicable, 40 years of age or older. The student should reside in the following counties in order of preference: Jones, Harnett, Craven, Pamlico, New Hanover, and Onslow in the state of North Carolina. Mr. Lloyd writes, “I prefer someone much like Louise – deeply devoted to public health nursing and the welfare of patients, possessing a great heart for the less fortunate. This person doesn’t have to be a straight-A student that is into everything, but an all-around good student with better than average maturity and leadership.”
