The Donna Hollar Memorial Scholarship in Construction Management

The College of Engineering and Technology scholarship is available to students majoring in Construction Management and is given in memory of Dr. Donna Hollar, a long-time faculty member in the Construction Management Department.

ECU’s motto is Servire – “to serve”. That was Donna’s motto as shown through her many activities. At ECU, Donna chaired many committees over the years including Scholarship and Tenure. She served as the faculty advisor to Sigma Lambda Chi. She was active in graduation ceremonies, open house events, and created the schedule of courses each term. Donna cared about her students and they cared about her. Donna was also active in a number of professional groups including the National Association of Women in Construction, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Engineering Education, Sigma Lambda Chi, Chi Epsilon, and Tau Beta Pi.
