The Freedom Scholarship in Occupational Therapy

This scholarship is awarded to provide scholarship support a student enrolled in the ECU College of Allied Health Science’s Department of Occupational Therapy (OT/OCCT) who is a military member or veteran or the spouse or child of a military member or veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States. Eligibility may also be extended to include a student who is working with the Wounded Warrior Battalion in clinical research on traumatic brain injury with military members, to students conducting research related to the military or providing services to military members or veterans, to members of a fire department, police department or emergency medical services, or to students conducting research in spinal cord injuries or cognitive disorders in rehabilitation services.

Scholarships will be awarded to students based on academic strength, demonstrated financial need, leadership capability, and the potential to contribute to the profession of occupational therapy.
