The Courtney Whaley Memorial Scholarship

This College of Nursing undergraduate scholarship is awarded in memory of Courtney Brianne Whaley, a 2018 graduate of the ECU College of Nursing. Courtney began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse first working with Vidant Medical Center and later at the Naval Medical Center in Camp Lejeune. While Courtney passed away in June 2021, this scholarship ensures her passion for service and commitment to education will live on and support others pursuing the nursing profession.

Recipients must be in the nursing program and must demonstrate financial need. First preference is to a student from Onslow county. Second preference is to a student from Duplin County, Third preference is to a student from Lenoir or Jones counties.
