The Benjamin Scott Denton Graduate Fellowship in Special Education

This scholarship is awarded to a graduate student who is enrolled full-time in the area of special education with a 3.0 GPA. Shows a commitment to the study of special education. The recipient must complete a minimum of 15 hours of Professional Development (PD) with the UNC TEACCH Autism Program, Greenville office. Recipients will communicate directly with the UNC TEACCH Center Director to schedule arrangements for the professional development prior to accepting the financial award. If the TEACCH program no longer exists, the College of Education can approve an alternate location to complete the PD hours. Professional Development can take place as the recipient’s schedule allows in the window between May (after notice of award) and the end of the following spring semester). Funds will disburse 1/2 in fall term / 1/2 in spring term. Scholarship is subject to availability.
