The Dr. Thomas S. Joseph and Karen E. Joseph Scholarship

The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship support to a student pursuing a doctoral degree in Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSDI) within the College of Allied Health and Sciences (CAHS) who has an interest in pursuing a career in private practice. Qualified applicants will have successfully completed the first year in the doctoral program. As a retired private practice audiologist, the Donor strongly recommends that the recipient complete the following courses (or their equivalents), as electives, that will provide the recipient with knowledge related to business concepts that will aid in the management and administration of a private practice: COHE 6600 Management of Health Care Organizations and COHE 6310 Health Care Accounting and Financial Administration. The scholarship may be renewable at the discretion of the scholarship selection committee.
