The Engineering Summer Bridge Scholarship

This scholarship will provide funding for students to enroll in two first-year engineering courses and to live on campus during the second summer session. Scholarship funding will be based upon eligibility for federal financial aid with maximum awards expected to cover full tuition, fees, room, and board for second summer session 2025. In addition to enrollment in summer coursework, students will participate in mathematics workshops to improve their preparedness for mathematics coursework required in the BS in Engineering degree program.

  1. What is the highest level of mathematics coursework that you have completed?
  2. Are there any mathematics topics that you would like to review as part of the summer bridge program? Examples may include but are not limited to trigonometry, functions, algebraic reasoning, vector mathematics, linear interpolation, graphing, interpreting data, etc.
  3. Would you want to live on campus during the second summer session or would you prefer to commute to campus?
  4. Please describe your interest in engineering. Do you have a particular type of engineering you are most interested in pursuing? (We offer concentrations in Biochemical, Biomedical, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial and Systems, and Mechanical Engineering).
