The Ralph and Sharon Shumaker Music Education Scholarship

The scholarship shall be awarded to an undergraduate student enrolled full-time and majoring in music education at East Carolina University. The scholarship selection committee will base its decision primarily on the candidate’s audition performance. Recipient must be a student with a woodwind or brass instrument as the principal area of applied study with at least a 3.0 GPA. Additional consideration will be given to those students who serve in a leadership role and as a role model for other students.
