Writing Prompt #1: The Honors College at East Carolina University seeks to admit students who bring diverse experiences, possess intellectual curiosity, seek innovative intellectual experiences, and value our university motto, "to serve." All applicants have impressive academic records. Take this opportunity to communicate what differentiates you from the others. Please choose just *ONE* of the following prompts and write an essay that reflects your true self (maximum 400 words):

    1-If a film were made about your life, what genre would it be, who would star in it, and why?

    2-What's something that society considers completely normal, but you think is actually kind of weird? What does that say about you?

    3-What drives you to create and what have you created? How does this help you communicate?

    Housed in the Honors College, the Brinkley-Lane Scholars Award Program is ECU’s most prestigious merit scholarship award that covers the full cost of attendance, with a total value exceeding $78,000. Students accepted into this reputable four-year program engage in innovative course work, collaborate with faculty on research, participate in exceptional internships, and receive a $5,000 stipend to study abroad.
