The Martha N. Jones Scholarship

This Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences fellowship is open to graduate students majoring in Biology. It is awarded based on academic merit and a demonstrated interest in and commitment to the pursuit of a career in ecology. Eligible students will be those who are working on research problems for their thesis which involve sampling water, soil, and tissue samples followed by analysis of materials in the laboratory using standard analytical techniques or variations of them. This award is to recognize the continuing importance of integrating field and laboratory methods in the solution of ecological and environmental problems. Award may be renewed at the discretion of the scholarship committee.
