The Captain Christopher Cash Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who are an active, or retired, member of the NC National Guard; or spouse, grandchild, or dependent of an active, retired, or deceased member of the NC National Guard. Student must be in a declared health related field of study, e.g., medical of any kind, physical education, or health and human performance. A declared major means the recipient cannot be a first year college student. Must be a full time undergraduate or graduate student with at least a 3.0 GPA. Must provide two letters of recommendation and provide a 100 word personal statement addressing “What freedom means to me”

  3. This scholarship requires that each applicant provide two (2) letters of reference. These letters should come from someone that can speak to your skills, abilities, activities, and/or community involvement. You should make the reference provider know to expect an email invitation to provide the reference and make sure they file the letters prior to the scholarship deadline.
